Content creator Milly Chebby has appealed to Kenyans to forgive her husband, comedian Terence Creative, following public outrage over his recent tribal remarks that went viral online. The comedian, whose real name is Lawrence Macharia, came under fire after a controversial video surfaced showing him making statements that many deemed offensive and divisive.
Speaking through her social media pages, Milly Chebby admitted that the incident had deeply affected their family and urged Kenyans to exercise compassion and understanding. She said Terence had already realized his mistake and was genuinely remorseful for his words. “We all make mistakes, and I believe in the power of forgiveness. My husband has learned a hard lesson, and we kindly ask Kenyans to give him a second chance,” she wrote.
Terence Creative also issued a public apology earlier, explaining that his comments were made out of context and not intended to offend any community. He emphasized his commitment to promoting peace and unity through his comedy.
Several fans and fellow entertainers have since reacted, with some defending him as a person known for spreading laughter rather than hate. Others, however, insisted that public figures must be more careful with their words, given their wide influence.
Milly concluded her message by thanking those who have shown support during the difficult time, expressing hope that Kenyans will move forward in unity and understanding. The couple has since promised to use their platform to promote national harmony.
