Azimio Blogger Pauline Njoroge has accused the political party Kenya Kwanza of attempting to botch her through a series of lucrative offers. Njoroge claims that senior government officials, including Silas Jakakimba, approached her with enticing financial incentives in exchange for her support or cessation of her criticism. These allegations have since been corroborated by prominent lawyer Wahome Thuku, who confirmed the existence of the offers.

Njoroge took to her social media platform to expose the alleged attempts by Kenya Kwanza to hinder her work. In a direct response to Jakakimba’s claims about the previous government’s financial mismanagement, Njoroge asked him how Kenya Kwanza could afford to make such offers if the country was already facing a severe financial crisis. Njoroge boldly challenged Jakakimba, stating, “You should just have kept off this topic because me and you know the truth.”

Adding weight to Njoroge’s claims, renowned journalist Wahome Thuku shed more light on the matter. Confirming the blogger’s assertions, Thuku stated that the offers made to Njoroge were not one but two distinct propositions. The first offer involved her crossing over to support the government, with an enticing monthly remuneration of Ksh1 million. The second offer, in case Njoroge declined to switch sides, aimed to persuade her to cease her criticism, with a still generous monthly compensation of Ksh500,000.

Critics argue that the alleged bribes is a mockery to Kenyans who are living in hardship because of high economic times. Most of government activities are stalled due to lack of finances.

The allegations against Kenya Kwanza have sparked widespread public outrage, with citizens expressing their support for Njoroge’s courage in exposing the party’s alleged actions. Calls for a thorough investigation into the matter and accountability for those involved are growing stronger by the day.
