Former nominated Senator Millicent Omanga has once again stirred conversations online—this time with her bold entry into the trending ‘Anguka Nayo’ dance challenge. The popular TikTok trend, which has seen both celebrities and regular Kenyans participating, took an unexpected political twist when Omanga decided to show off her moves.
In a short video posted to her official TikTok account, Omanga is seen dressed in a casual outfit—red t-shirt, jean shorts, and a stylish fedora—as she attempts the high-energy routine. The viral track, originally performed by Wadagliz KE, has already surpassed a million views on YouTube, making it one of Kenya’s hottest audio trends in April 2025.
“Trying out this challenge. Nimeweza ama nirudi class?” she captioned the video, asking fans if her attempt passed the vibe check or if she should “go back to class.”
While some of her fans praised her for being “real” and relatable, others criticized her dance moves, claiming they didn’t quite hit the mark. One user commented, “Mama we love you but wacha watoi wafanye hii challenge.” Another said, “You’re brave for posting that. Big up!”
The video has already gathered thousands of views and hundreds of comments, proving that Omanga still knows how to keep the internet talking.
This is not the first time she’s been in the spotlight for more than politics. Earlier this month, Omanga also trended after showing off her brand new 2024 Range Rover Vogue, sparking debates online about politicians and luxury lifestyles. In an interview with Nairobi News, she defended the purchase saying, “I’ve worked hard for everything I have. Let people talk.”
As the ‘Anguka Nayo’ trend continues to dominate timelines, it’s clear that Millicent Omanga is not just watching from the sidelines—she’s dancing her way right into the conversation.
