Popular Nairobi fashion designer Bolo Bespoke has once again sparked reactions online after celebrating his wife Mueni on her birthday and revealing that she had turned 32.
In a post shared on his Facebook page, Bolo explained that he was returning home after spending the weekend away so that he could properly usher in what he described as his wife’s birthday month. He invited his followers to join him in wishing Mueni a happy birthday and promised a month filled with celebrations in her honour.
The post, however, quickly caught the attention of eagle eyed social media users for another reason. Several followers noticed that Bolo had also described Mueni as 32 years old during last year’s birthday celebrations.
The apparent repetition immediately triggered a wave of jokes and playful comments from his followers.
One commenter, Norah Obiero, made a cheeky reference to pregnancy while joking about a phone battery running low. Freshia Bin Frediah questioned the kind of marriage where the same age appears to repeat itself, while Min Elder humorously pointed out that Mueni was 32 last year and was somehow still 32 this year.
Other followers also joined the conversation. David Kanini Judith, who was identified as a top fan, recalled that Mueni had been celebrated as 32 during the previous birthday and expressed surprise that the age had apparently remained unchanged.
Kennedy Ouma Oketch took a different angle, suggesting that the birthday message appeared to have a strong advertising element rather than being purely a birthday tribute.
Bolo’s post also featured a promotion for the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8. He advertised fourteen units for sale and said each phone came with a free Galaxy Watch valued at KSh45,000.
The combination of the birthday message and the phone promotion gave followers even more material to discuss, with some joking that Bolo had turned his wife’s birthday celebration into a marketing opportunity.
Despite the teasing, many fans still sent warm birthday wishes to Mueni and celebrated the couple. The discussion remained largely playful, with followers enjoying the apparent mystery surrounding her age.
