In the powerful rank of Senior Assistant Inspector General of Police, Abdallah Komesha is an extremely powerful man at the DCI headquarters.
The seasoned detective was appointed as the director of the DCI investigations bureau in 2023. Before that, he served as the acting Deputy Inspector General of Police in-charge of the Kenya Police Service wing.
This was after the retirement of DIG- KPS, Edward Njoroge Mbugua, whom Komesha had served loyally as a Principal Assistant.
Sometimes in 2023, he briefly served as the director of the Internal Affairs Unit, having swapped positions with David Birech. But he would later to the DCI headquarters to take charge of the Investigations Bureau.
Komesha who holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Nairobi, has been in the service for over three decades. He is now aged 57 years.
Besides his police duties, Komesha is also a member of the Kenya Forest Service board.
