twins

Amanda gave birth to fraternal twin girls in the middle of July 2006, and the happy parents chose names for both girls that have different but related meanings.

Millie Marcia Madge Biggs and her sister Marcia Millie Madge Biggs are their given names. They had been raised together as twins, yet their wardrobes couldn’t have been more different.

Both Marcia and Millie had different hair colors, but Marcia’s was lighter brown. It only took a few months for Marcia to start looking more like her white mother, while Millie began to resemble her black Jamaican father. Parents never seemed concerned about this happening.

Whenever Amanda would take her kids for a stroll, random bystanders would question if they were twins.

She would reply, “Yes, and it runs in the family.”

Although biracial twins are extremely unusual, they do occur in multiracial couples and have been described as a “one in a million” miracle by the twins’ mother.

The twins want that their birth certificates be checked to prove that they are related because people always mistake them for pals.
