The late Samuel Mugo Mugota, 49, had dropped a lady at her residence along Mirema Drive, minutes before he was shot six times in the chest.
That lady identified as Mary Meddih took to social media to mourn her baby daddy, writing,
“The noble man who made me a mother has been killed in cold blood. Baba Koome YOU were the Best Dad Ever… I don’t know how our son will grow without you but I will keep your legacy through him.”
She then cursed the unknown gunman who had murdered her late baby daddy in cold blood.“May your killer never know peace. Ti uhoroo..huroka thayu Mugoh….My son. My son… (It is okay, go well),” an angry Mary said.
The police have that they found 7 different national identity cards in his car and it took a long time to know which of the cards was genuine.
Mugo was shot six times in front of a young girl that the locals said is the deceased man’s daughter. In CCTV footage since released by the police, one can see that the shooter had worn a suit and had put on a cap to conceal his identity.
The man shot Mugo four times in the chest area before shooting him another two times through the windscreen. The shooter then promptly ran back towards a white Toyota Premio car that had blocked the late Mugo’s car.
The assassin and the driver of the car then drove away leaving behind terrified Mirema residents.
“We don’t know the motive of the assailant but the matter is under probe,” Kasarani police boss Peter Mwanzo confirmed said.
