One week after returning to the country, former interior cabinet secretary Hon Fred Matiang’i has started to meet with local leaders to prepare himself for the elections.
Matiang’i arrived in the country from the US just as the Easter holidays were starting. His arrival raised mixed reactions from Kenyans who had been waiting for him.
He has however not issued any official statement so far but there are reports that he has been meeting with potential allies at his Karen home.
On Thursday Matiang’i met with the Kitutu Chache South member of parliament Hon Antony Kibagendi at his Karen home.
It is not known what they talked about but it would not have been anything outside politics and possible alliances.
For one to be successful politically they must have a team of other politicians besides them and Matiangi must assemble his people.
In the two years remaining he will do things and Kenyans are waiting to see who will be taking his side.
