A Nairobi pastor has opened up about the most painful moment in his marriage the day he discovered disturbing text messages on his wife Brenda’s phone.
He said the trouble started in 2019 when a man called Brenda while she was visiting him.
She did not answer the call but later, when Manyasi checked her phone he found messages where the man called her “babe” and wrote how much he had missed her.
The discovery shocked him and completely changed their relationship.
Manyasi said he confronted Brenda about the messages, but she refused to explain anything and went straight to bed.
The next morning, she left the house and disappeared for three days. When she finally returned, she came with her brother-in-law to collect some of her belongings, and Manyasi thought their marriage had come to an end.
Before this painful moment, the couple had met in church, where Brenda was a committed member of the praise and worship team.
Manyasi believed she was a woman who understood Christian values, and he was happy when the two started dating. They visited each other often and planned to marry and build a life together.
However, things changed quickly after the incident. Manyasi said they separated for three months, and during that period, he had no idea where Brenda was living or what she was doing.
To his surprise she later returned claiming she was pregnant with his child. Although he had doubts, he accepted her back home.
According to Manyasi, this marked the beginning of even more problems in the marriage. The trust between them was gone, and arguments became frequent.
The situation worsened when he later discovered that Brenda had moved in with their best man a person he once considered a close friend.
The pastor shared that the betrayal broke him deeply, not only because of his wife’s actions but also because of the pain of losing someone he trusted.
Their marriage eventually collapsed and Brenda continued living near his home with the best man.
Manyasi said he is now healing and focusing on rebuilding his life. He hopes that by sharing his story, others will understand the importance of honesty, respect, and loyalty in a relationship.
