Police in Bomet are investigating a tragic case of suspected domestic violence after a woman was found dead in her home under disturbing circumstances.

Peter Ngeno is suspected of strangling his wife, Beatrice, 38, following a domestic altercation allegedly triggered by accusations of infidelity.

According to initial reports, Beatrice’s lifeless body was discovered in their home, bearing signs of a violent struggle.

Blood was visible from her nose and mouth, indicating a possible assault prior to her death. The grim discovery has left the local community in shock.

Family members of the deceased have called for swift justice, demanding the immediate arrest and prosecution of the suspect.

“We want the law to take its full course. She didn’t deserve to die like this,” a relative stated.

Bomet Police Commander Edward Imbwaga condemned the killing and expressed concern over the growing cases of domestic violence in the region.

“No dispute, however serious, should end in violence. We urge couples to seek legal and peaceful solutions to their disagreements,” he said.

Investigations are ongoing as authorities continue to search for Peter Ngeno, who is believed to have fled after the incident.
