A vehicle owner in Kiserian is appealing for public help after his car allegedly vanished from a parking spot while he stepped into a supermarket for a brief errand.
The vehicle in question is a silver Mazda Demio bearing registration number KDA 369X, shared in photos circulated alongside the appeal for information.
The owner had parked near a supermarket in Kiserian and gone inside to make a purchase. When he returned a short while later, the car was nowhere to be found.
What makes the incident particularly baffling is that he reportedly still had the vehicle’s keys in his hand when he realised it was missing.
“Just imagine parking your vehicle in Kiserian just to buy something at the supermarket, then when you return, the vehicle is not there, and you still have the keys in your hand,” read the appeal shared by Sikika Road Safety.
The alleged theft carries an added financial weight, as the owner had taken out a loan to acquire the car and had only recently cleared all repayments.
He had just become the vehicle’s outright owner when it reportedly disappeared, deepening the sense of loss.
