According to an update by the governor for Siaya County James Orengo, he today played host to the wife of opposition leader raila odinga, Mama Ida Odinga who paid a courtesy call to the County offices.
From the update the governor revealed that the wife to the former prime minister attended a cabinet meeting together with the County cabinet secretaries and encourage them to work for the county with all their heart since that is the mandate that they have been given by the governor and the people of the County.
She later held a meeting with health workers from the county who have keen on ensuring that locals get the necessary treatment for their ailments as they continue to await their salary payment.
This was the second visit that the wife of the former prime minister is making to Siaya County attending a similar event in homabay County where she was hosted by the area governor of Gladys wanga.
Later in the day she met up with locals who had congregated in the area and encourage them to continue supporting the former prime minister’s saying that it is not too late for the region to produce a president.
