Shock gripped Mbooni in Makueni County after a middle-aged man was brutally attacked for being found in a married woman’s bed.
Reports indicate that the woman had secretly invited her lover to spend the night at her matrimonial home.However, things turned tragic when her husband walked in and found the two in bed.
Enraged, the man allegedly attacked his wife’s lover, leaving him with serious head injuries.
Neighbours, who were alerted by the loud commotion, rushed to the house and tried to separate the trio.
Police officers were later called to the scene and found the man unconscious.
He was quickly taken to Machakos Level 5 Hospital, where he is fighting for his life in the intensive care unit.Doctors confirmed that the patient sustained severe head injuries and is awaiting emergency surgery.
According to Citizen Digital, he remains in a coma as medics race to save his life.
Meanwhile, the husband and wife were taken into custody at Machakos Police Station.
Authorities say formal charges have not yet been filed, as the victim’s condition will determine the course of the case.
If he fails to recover, the matter could escalate to murder charges.
