Trouble is now reportedly brewing within the army barracks as government moves to start deduction of lunch money from salaries directly.

The mobey is now set to be deducted despite previously being given to the officers by the government. The explanation is that this is in a bid to cater for funding challenges within the broader government itself.

And also to address budget shortages, with every ministry having been told to cut on excess spending and luxurious spenditure or allocation.

The officers wonder how possible will it be for them to train from 5 am then go to march and then go to the range on an empty stomach.

But worse now is that inspite of the rejection by most soldiers a bit in hushed tones, the government has still opted to continue with the deductions.

The signs are now on the wall that the forced deduction of lunch allowances risks boiling into wider unrest within the ranks, now with the barracks already simmering.
