Her family, friends, and colleagues gathered to pay their last respects to the beloved actress, who passed away on September 5, 2024, after battling metastatic breast cancer for two years.

During the emotional farewell, her mother vowed to continue the fight against cancer, while her father expressed gratitude to Dida’s employers for their financial support during her treatment in Turkey.

Winnie Bwire, a multi-talented individual, held a degree in Industrial Fine Art and Design from Makerere University.

From a young age, she showcased her creativity through poetry, playwriting, and acting. Her talents expanded into adulthood, where she excelled as a scriptwriter, songwriter, singer, painter, and interior designer.

In 2014, she wrote her first professional screenplay, a project titled Penzi.Her contribution to the arts will be deeply missed by many who knew and admired her work.
