Acting Inspector General of Police Japhet, Mr Gilbert Masengeli has been sentenced to 6 months in prison by Justice Lawrence Mugambi, a ruling that has caught the attention of several Kenyans who took to their different social media platforms to speak on this.
Several sources have confirmed that the acting Inspector General of Police failed to show up in court for the 7th time leading to this ruling.

Faith Adhiambo :Today the 13th of September, Justice Mugambi has sentenced Mr. Gilbert Masengeli to six (6) months imprisonment for disobeying Court orders in Constitutional Petition E436 of 2024.
He has been given 7 days grace period to surrender himself to court in default, after the lapse of the 7 days, he does present himself to the Commissioner of. Prison services.
In further default, the CS interior to Ensure Mr. Masengeli Is arrested and detained at a prison immediately. @mwaurakab.
