Capped over 50 times by the national team, Onyiso was part of the Harambee Stars squad that represented Kenya during the 2004 African Cup of Nations in Tunisia.
After over 20 years at the peak of his career where he also played for Ulinzi Stars, Onyiso hanged his boots. He has kept a very low profile ever since.
The Kenya Army soldier who is in the rank of Sergeant, would later make a remarkable comeback when he turned out for his former club Ulinzi Stars where he was appointed as goalkeeper trainer.
Though he is now 52 years, Onyiso remains an icon in Kenyan football with many regarding him as one of the greatest goal keepers in the history of the national team.
