Journalist Stephen Letoo on Saturday, September 20, led a group of Maa creatives to Kajiado West for a condolence visit to the family of late Gracious Teyian.Letoo, who was chauffeured to the home, expressed his deep sorrow over the untimely passing of his close friend, describing it as a heavy loss not only to her family but also to the wider Maa community.

In his message, Letoo revealed that the delegation comprised creatives from Kajiado, Narok, Marsabit, Samburu, Baringo, and Laikipia counties.

The team assured bereaved family of their solidarity and full support as preparations continue to give Teyian befitting send-off scheduled for Wednesday.

He thanked the group for coming together in unity at such a difficult time, noting that it was a testament to the strength and bond of the community.

Letoo further recalled that just a week earlier, Teyian had invited him and others to attend the graduation ceremony of Paul Simat.Her sudden passing after a brief illness left many in shock and grief. “My heart is shattered and broken,” he wrote, adding that the family’s pain must be unimaginable.

He called on friends, colleagues, and well-wishers to keep the bereaved in their prayers and offer every possible support during this trying moment.

He concluded his tribute with a heartfelt farewell to Teyian, saying, “Rest easy, Gracious.”

The visit showed the spirit of togetherness within the Maa community, as they came together not only to mourn but also to celebrate the life of a woman remembered for her warmth and vibrant presence.
