Wapendwa Muziki singer Mesh has dismissed claims that his wife, Ninah, has become too dominant as her public profile grows.
The couple addressed the discussion during an interview on Monday, November 2, 2026, saying Ninah’s visibility reflects the support Mesh has given her.
The debate followed a video of the pair that circulated online, prompting users to suggest that Ninah was overshadowing her husband.
Responding to the claims, Ninah said she respects Mesh and does not treat him badly.
“If I don’t respect my husband, then angekuwa hapa,” she said, adding that Mesh would speak up if he felt disrespected.
The couple revealed that they have been together for 13 years, including eight years of dating before marrying five years ago.
Why Mesh Is Giving Ninah More Room to Shine
Mesh said he is not threatened by his wife’s confidence or growing profile. He is comfortable allowing her to take the spotlight in their music group.
He explained that Ninah is the main voice in Wapendwa Muziki and that they do not need to compete for attention. Their strengths, he said, complement each other.
Mesh recalled a trip to the United Kingdom that changed how he viewed their performances. After watching a video, he noticed Ninah was barely visible because he had taken up much of the space entertaining the audience.
The moment made him realise he needed to give her more room to showcase her talent. He has since made an effort to step back and let her shine.
Ninah said her growing confidence has been encouraged by her husband.
The couple maintained that their relationship is built on teamwork and mutual support, not competition.
