Lydia Kimetto was the one who introduced Ruto to Rachel Ruto for the first time. At the beginning of their relationship, Lydia and Ruto were both members of the same church. During the time that Lydia was getting married, Ruto approached her and asked whether she would be able to put him in touch with Rachel, who was Lydia’s younger sister. Lydia had the impression that Rachel Ruto was naturally unapproachable, and she pondered the possibility that Daniel could gain her affection.
However, she made it a point to ensure that she played her part to the best of her ability, and as a result, the two were able to find love and eventually get married.
