Lifestyle coach Kush Tracey is celebrating a very special milestone. She has now been sober for three years, and she shared an emotional message that touched many hearts online.
In a post shared on Instagram on Sunday, December 28, Kush said the three years mean much more than just stopping drugs and alcohol. For her, it is a story of healing, freedom, and finding herself again.
Kush openly revealed that she walked away from many substances. These include alcohol, cigarettes, vaping, bhang, khat, pills, and party drugs.
She said she did not quit because she suddenly became strong. Instead, she quit because she became honest about her pain and asked for help.
She explained that addiction was never who she truly was. She said things like addiction, rebellion, reckless behavior, and sleeping around were just ways she tried to run away from deep emotional wounds.
According to Kush, real healing started when she stopped hiding her pain and faced it.
She also shared an important lesson she learned along the way. She said that when pain is ignored, it seeks relief. And when someone keeps using the same relief again and again, it can slowly turn into a chain that controls life.
Spiritually, Kush said she later understood something powerful. She was not running away from God. She was actually looking for love, comfort, and acceptance, but in the wrong places.
She said true love can only be fully understood through God.
Kush made it clear that change did not happen overnight. Freedom came slowly. It came through humility, support from others, strong boundaries, a new way of thinking, and daily grace.
She said she was not healed through judgment or shame, but through restoration and patience.
Speaking to people who are still struggling, Kush shared a gentle message of hope. She told them they are not weak, not broken, and not beyond help.
She added that her three years of sobriety are not a trophy to show off. Instead, they are proof that freedom is possible.
Kush encouraged anyone fighting addiction to believe that if healing was possible for her, it is also possible for them.
