Celebrated Kenyan journalist and renowned KTN Swahili news anchor Zubeidah Kananu Koome has lost her dear mother.
The ravishing queen infact shared the sad news with her instagram followers on Thursday morning, and she was clearly heartbroken after the happening.

She shared a photo of her demised mother Mary Halima, and what was clear about the post is that the late matriarch was just 60-years-old when she passed away.
This is because she was born in the year 1962 and unfortunately died in 2022.
The photo also showed that her burial will take place on Saturday December 3, 2022, in Ruiri Meru County.
The KTN Swahili journalist further accompanied the post with a sad caption saying “It is well”.
The disclosure however elicited reactions from netizens, and all of them sent their message of condolence to Zubeidah Koome.

Facts about Zubeidah Koome’s mother
Even though not much is known about the late matriarch Mary Halima because of how Zubeidah Kananu keeps her personal life away from the limelight, we know a thing or two about her.
Well before her unfortunate demise, she was the mother-in-law to the journalist’s husband Kelvin Koome for over 10 years that they are married.

Mary Halima also had atleast two grandchildren when she was still alive, and these are the two children that the couple have together.
Speaking of her mother, Zubeidah Koome once revealed how she was very protective of her when she moved out of Meru to Nairobi for her college life.
Being a village girl she thought that the life of the city would corrupt her good morals, and therefore placed her under the care of college life residence caretaker.
