A middle-aged man from Kitengela has proposed to a lady he met during the anti-Finance Bill 2024 protests three weeks ago. The youthful patriotic man identified as Tonny Sherman, travelled from Kitengela to Nairobi Central Business District(CBD) to participate in the demos, not knowing that he would find his missing rib while exercising his democratic rights.
Speaking to Tuko. Co.Ke, Tonny said he exchanged contacts with his now girlfriend after the demos and kept tabs. He went ahead and proposed to her, three weeks after their first encounter.
He took to his Facebook page and shared cute photos rocking matching outfits with his girlfriend, shortly after proposing to her. He recounted how they were holding placards and chanting anti-government slogans when they met.
They got to know each other in the middle of the chant and the rest is history. If “too fast” were a person, just three weeks after I met my perfect match at the protests, I decided to propose to her. I can remember both of us having a placard raised while chanting against the government. In the middle of the chant, we had to know more about each other, and here we are now! happily engaged. I love you,” he wrote on his Facebook account.
