The coronation of king Charles III of England took place on Saturday 6 at Westminster Abbey in London, England.

Among the guests who attended the event include president William Samoei Ruto of kenya and others from the commonwealth and beyond.

The event which was watched live by millions of people around the world was also witnessed by many people who came from various walks of life.

King Charles became king following the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth late last year whose funeral was also a world afair and was televised live.

Although the president of the united states of America Joe Biden didn’t attend the big event, his wife Jill Biden led the american delegation.

Biden is not the only american president to have snubbed the event as his two predecessors too never attended previous coronations.

From Africa, a part from the presidents, some three reigning kings also graced the big occasion.

They include King Mswati of Eswatini and his wife Inkhosikati LaMbikiza , king letsie II of Lesotho and his wife queen masenate and king Antehene (King) Otumfuo Osei Tutu II of Ashanti, Ghana and HRH Lady Julia Osei Tutu.
