After designating Monday a public holiday, the High Court decided that Raila Odinga, the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, had a case to answer.
The High Court declared that Kenya has a clear process for announcing public holidays when it issued its decision.
Today, the High Court issued its decision in a case brought by the former Nairobi governor, Mike Sonko, who accused Azimio leader Raila Odinga of illegally transferring to himself the authority that Kenyan law grants the Interior Cabinet Secretary.
Raila made the announcement two days ago as part of his increased efforts to put weight on the administration of President William Ruto.
The judge cited the high level of public attention in the Sonko case.
Now that the Star has posted this and revealed that Azimio party leader Raila Odinga and his team are going to suffer a lot, as Sonko alleges, do you think Raila’s mega rallies can bear any fruit in our country?
