A 32-year old man hanged himself in his room after he was denied conjugal rights during the day by his wife Monday at Marembo estate in Kilifi township location, Kilifi County.
Safari Kitonyo is alleged to have quarreled with his 23- year old wife Sildia Kadzo after he demanded day sex to which the wife declined alleging that he was not faithful.

He was heard by neighours claiming to his wife that his work did not allow him for a night sex since he worked as a night security guard at Kilifi KK security.
“HE SAID HE LOVED HIS WIFE SO MUCH AND THAT HE HAD NO OUTSIDE AFFAIRS WITH OTHER WOMEN AND THAT THE ONLY TIME HE COULD HAVE AN AFFAIR WITH HIS WIFE WAS DURING THE DAY OWING TO HIS WORK,” SAID ONE OF THE NEIGHBOURS KAHONZI CHARO.

She added that the wife rushed out of the house to escape day sex leaving behind the husband who hanged himself with a piece on the roof of the rented room.
Area assistant chief Joseph Soso who confirmed the incident said he was among the first people to arrive to the scene before informing the police.
Kilifi County police commander Nelson Taliti who also confirmed the incident said the body has been removed to Kilifi County referral hospital mortuary for post mortem examinatioHe said the police are looking for the wife who has since been at large to facilitate investigations to commence.
