latest reports indicates that Martha Karua has taken a bold action following the detention and torture of Boniface Mwangi and agather.
Speaking via her official twitter handle, Karua has written to African Union, Jumuiya and SADC demanding an action against Tanzania president Samia Suluhu for detention of Mwangi and others.
“We’ve written to @_AfricanUnion, @achpr_cadhp @jumuiya @SADC_News with a copy to international partners demanding immediate action and accountability from @SuluhuSamia on missing activist @AAgather and torture and dumping of @bonifacemwangi.At least 48 entities have enjoined the Pan African PLSN on this call.#FreeAgatherAtuhaire #DefendDemocracyEA”, report says.
This comes amid the release of Mwangi while whereabouts of Agather is unknown as per the same reports.
