Nairobi, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nyeri, Mombasa, Kilifi, and Taita Taveta Counties are the regions slated to experience power disruptions during the specified timeframe. Nairobi County, in particular, will undergo an extensive blackout lasting eight hours, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Several key areas in Nairobi will be affected, including prominent locations such as United Nations, US Embassy, Whispers Ave, Gigiri Water Works, Village Mkt, Warwick Center, United Nations Crescent, Gigiri Dr. Eaton Place, Village Rd, Gigiri Cl, ICRAF, KTTC, Gigiri Box Park, Gigiri Rd, Embassy of Turkey, Embassy of Tunisia, and more. Notable institutions like Karura Forest, Serenity Spa Gigiri, and International Organisation for Migration are also part of the affected areas.

Similarly, parts of Elgeyo Marakwet County will face power interruptions during the same timeframe. Kapsowar Town, AIC Kapsowar Hosp, Kapsowar DCs Office, Kapsowar Girls, Kapchesewes, and adjacent customers will experience the temporary power outage from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

While inconveniences are expected, Kenya Power has not provided specific reasons for the planned blackout in the announcement. It is advisable for residents and businesses in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements and preparations to minimize any potential disruptions during this scheduled outage.
