Kenyan content creator Mitchelle Joyce Akoth Oruko, popularly known as Mjaka Mfine, has once again denied claims that she is dating fellow creator Mokaya.
Speaking on the YouTube show Feast with Friends on Friday, November 21, 2025, Mjaka said their relationship is strictly work-related, despite the closeness many fans think they see online.
“No, we are not dating,” she said. “You know when you date your work partner, kazi haitafanyika. Imagine if I date Mokaya, and then I see him with another girl on set, I will obviously feel jealous. We are just workmates. We take a lot of photos together, it is called winning together.”
She explained that their photos and videos are part of their teamwork and not a sign of romantic involvement.
Mokaya has also addressed the rumours, calling Mjaka a great workmate and saying that their chemistry on camera is what fuels the gossip.
He stressed that their partnership is professional and focused on content creation.
Both creators have repeatedly said in past interviews that there is no romantic relationship between them.
Mjaka began creating content in 2020 and has since grown into one of Kenya’s most-followed digital personalities, especially on TikTok.
Mokaya, who studies English literature at Kenyatta University, balances schoolwork with a rising comedy career.
His skits and collaborations with Mjaka often go viral because of their humour and relatable stories.
