Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has once again ignited a storm of reactions on social media after throwing subtle shade at her ex-partner, popular Mugithi singer Samidoh Muchoki.
The legislator, who has previously claimed she parted ways with the musician, sparked fresh criticism from followers after publicly addressing their current relationship status and co-parenting dynamics.
From ‘Ungovernable Love’ to Public Separation
Samidoh and Nyamu once dominated social media headlines with their highly publicized romance. Nyamu was famously vocal about supporting polygamy, stating she did not mind that Samidoh maintained his first marriage.
However, the family dynamics shifted dramatically when Samidoh’s first wife, Edday Nderitu, relocated to the United States with their three children. Edday later revealed that the toxic situation had severely impacted her mental health, stating that moving away saved her and her eldest daughter from severe depression.
Following the relocation, Samidoh and Edday reportedly rekindled their romance, leaving his relationship with Nyamu fractured. Nyamu has previously hinted at turbulent co-parenting struggles, noting that exes often need time to heal before they can peacefully raise children together.
Nyamu Claps Back at Claws-Out Fans
The latest online drama unfolded after the senator shared a video of herself getting ready to attend a school function for her two children, whom she shares with the singer.
Followers immediately flooded the comment section, pointing out that the children are the spitting image of their father. The interaction turned sour when a curious fan questioned how Nyamu explains Samidoh’s absence to their kids.
“So where do you usually tell them their dad is?” the follower asked.
Nyamu sharply retorted: “Did he die? He is very present.”
Other users quicky reminded the senator of the heavy backlash she received when she previously posted photos of herself and her children spending time at Samidoh’s matrimonial home in Nyandarua. While some netizens defended her candid responses, others criticized her for constantly inviting public scrutiny into her family life.
