Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has revealed why she ended her relationship with popular Mugithi singer Samidoh Muchoki. The two had been in a public relationship for years and share two children — a son and a daughter.
Recently, fans noticed the two had stopped posting each other on special days like birthdays. This raised questions about whether their relationship had come to an end. Karen later appeared with a new man, confirming that she had indeed moved on.
In a trending TikTok video, Nyamu was seen having a light-hearted conversation with her friend Kururia. During their chat, she hinted that she might get married soon and even mentioned dowry plans.
“We will go to pay the dowry. He is advising me a lot,” she said, referring to the new man in her life.
Kururia joked about Samidoh never paying her dowry, and Karen responded by saying, “That one was unable to handle things, so we fired him.” She added that the public already knows what happened, so there is nothing more to explain.
Relationship expert Angela Mutinda commented on high-profile breakups, saying they should be handled with emotional maturity and dignity.
Karen and Samidoh’s relationship began in Dubai through a mutual friend, former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko. Their relationship became public in early 2021 and was followed by drama, including a public fight between Karen and Samidoh’s wife, Edday Nderitu.
Karen later apologised for the incident and promised to change. Now, Karen Nyamu seems ready to close the old chapter and begin a new one — possibly as a bride.
