Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has finally broken her silence and reacted to a video of herself that went viral few days ago.
The video was actually the one that was recorded when she was in Kasarani Constituency for the Panga Kanairo Mtaani edition, where she engaged the constituents at the grassroots level.
While at the event, Karen Nyamu interacted with the residents on various issues affecting them, and then she further laid out the plans that she has for them as she has the goal of being the next Nairobi Woman Representative.
What began as a peaceful occasion however later took an unexpected turn, after the crowd surrounded the Nominated Senator and tried to have access to her.
In her reaction, Karen Nyamu was visibly upset because the crowd gave her a hard time as she could not move around easily.

Days after the video went viral, Karen Nyamu has now confrimed that she emerged out of the situation safely.
According to the Nominated Senator however, she was never mishandled by the crowd.
Karen Nyamu has made it clear that what the residents did in the video was just to show her love, and they never mishandled her.
“Ever since that Kasarani video went viral, I’ve gotten so many concerns about my security. Cops, private security, mbogi security…everyone suddenly wants to guard Mama Nairobi 😆.
Guys, I was safe. Nobody mishandled me. That was just Kanairo love getting a little too intense 😂.
Thank you though, I didn’t know you guys are so protective” she said on her Facebook account.
