Celebrated Kenyan journalist Karen Karimi Knaust has bid farewell to TV47, and all the fans who loved to watch her anchor news at the Cape Media Limited-owned station.

The sassy queen infact anchored her last bulletin at the station on Friday the 25th of November.

On her last day at TV47, Karen Karimi also hosted renowned comedian Mammito on her show dubbed ‘FriDATE’.

Taking to her twitter account she even penned an emotional farewell message, appreciating all who had supported her during her stint at the station.

“…It’s been an incredible journey. Thank you to my TV47 family and all my viewers for your support” she wrote in part.

Karen Karimi also later that night threw a small party to mark her new chapter in life, as she is now going to work at the Kilifi County Government.

This was disclosed by her close friend who is also a celebrated BBC journalist Maya Hakawa, and this was via her posts on her insta stories.

It should be noted that Karen Karimi joined TV47 in March 2022, and this was just two years after she was fired from the Mediamax Limited-owned TV station K24 TV.

In June 2020, she was among the media personalities who were fired by the news house after a redundancy notice was issued.

Karen Karimi announces she is slated to work at Kilifi County Government

Karen Karimi announced on Tuesday, November 15 that she had landed a job at Kilifi County Government.

In a statement on her insta stories, she disclosed that her new role will be the Director Of Communications in the County Government, that is led by Governor Gideon Mung’aro.

At the time, the ravishing journalist also disclosed that she had accompanied the Kilifi county boss to Germany for a health-related conference.
