After months of fear and uncertainty, joy has finally returned to Kaluma Boy’s home. His father, who suffered a severe stroke in August 2024 and spent three months in a coma, has been discharged from hospital.
Kaluma Boy became wildly known for documenting his father’s journey online, sharing the struggles of treatment and the emotional toll of watching a loved one fight for life.
His updates drew sympathy and support from Kenyans, many of whom rallied behind the family with financial contributions and prayers.
Doctors worked tirelessly to stabilize his condition, and after months of physiotherapy and close monitoring, he showed remarkable improvement.
From the photos posted, he can be seen conversing with the medical care practitioners while waving his hand.
Eventually he was strong enough to be discharged, he is transported home by an ambulance donated by Jesus Compassion Ministries (JCM).
Online users celebrated the news with one writing, “This is the miracle we prayed for, God has answered.”
