Nyali Member of Parliament Mohamed Ali has dismissed speculation surrounding his recent meeting with Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, insisting that their encounter at Parliament Buildings was strictly a courtesy conversation about his knee recovery.
In a statement addressing the meeting, Ali cautioned Kenyans against interpreting the encounter as a political engagement, accusing individuals of spreading propaganda and attempting to create a different impression about what transpired.
The Wiper Patriotic Front official maintained that politics was never discussed during the meeting, explaining that his interaction with Murkomen was centred on his health and recovery.
“Context matters. Facts matter. It was a courtesy conversation at Parliament Buildings about my knee recovery. Nothing more. Nothing less,” Ali stated.
He further urged his supporters not to be misled by what he described as cheap propaganda, maintaining that his political position and commitment to the opposition movement remained unchanged.
The Nyali MP used the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to the political cause associated with the Ukombozi movement, declaring that he had no intention of abandoning the opposition’s agenda ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Ali also delivered a strong political message, suggesting that the coming election would be an important moment for those seeking political change in Kenya.
“We are ROOTED in UKOMBOZI and We ain’t deflecting. 2027, We are coming at them, and for them!! SEMA WANTAM,” he declared.
His remarks come at a time when political alignments and consultations are increasingly attracting attention as various leaders position themselves ahead of the next General Election.
By publicly explaining his meeting with Murkomen, Ali appeared keen to prevent speculation about a possible political shift or changing allegiance.
The MP’s statement also reinforces his determination to remain associated with the opposition’s political agenda, dismissing suggestions that a courtesy meeting with a senior government official should be interpreted as a change of political direction.
