Support continued to pour in for the family of the late content creator Kagema Muraya, after Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi announced financial assistance, and promised to help the deceased’s widow rebuild her life.
Speaking during a post-funeral gathering attended by family, friends and supporters, Itumbi publicly announced a contribution of KSh 200,000 for Tabitha Wambui, Kagema’s widow.
The money was drawn from donations that had been collected to support the bereaved family following the content creator’s death.
The announcement was met with applause from mourners, many of whom had gathered to comfort the family after the burial.
Beyond the financial support, Itumbi said he would help Tabitha secure employment so she could become financially independent and continue providing for herself in the wake of her husband’s passing.
He noted that while monetary donations could ease the immediate burden, a stable source of income would give the widow a better chance of rebuilding her life in the months and years ahead.
His remarks resonated with those present, with several attendees praising the move as a practical way of supporting a young family after losing its breadwinner.
The gesture has also attracted attention online, where many Kenyans commended the decision to focus on long-term empowerment rather than one-time financial assistance.
Some social media users described the planned job opportunity as a meaningful way to honour Kagema’s memory by helping his family regain stability.
Others offered words of encouragement to Tabitha, expressing hope that she would find strength as she begins a new chapter following the loss of her husband.
Kagema Muraya’s death touched many people who had followed his work as a digital content creator. Messages of condolence and support have continued to stream in from fans and friends, reflecting the impact he had on those who knew him both online and offline.
As the family adjusts to life after the funeral, the promised financial support and employment opportunity are expected to provide a foundation for Tabitha as she works towards a more secure future.
