Lang’ata constituency member of parliament Hon Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o, on Thursday Attacked his party leader Raila Odinga In a function attended by President Wiliam Ruto.
Jalang’o who was the host acknowledged the presence of former Lang’ata constituency member of parliament Hon Nixon Korir who competed against him in the 2022 Polls.
He noted that the despite being competitors Korir accepted the outcome of the results and conceded defeat. He appreciated him for putting politics aside and agreeing to work with him for the sake of development in Lang’ata constituency.
The first time member of Parliament who got elected on The Orange Democratic Movement party Ticket further asked Raila to accept the outcome of the August 2022 general elections and to put aside the continuous politics.
“Yeye Tulishindana Na Yeye Akakubali Matokokeo, Wengine Pia Wakubali Kwamba Mambo Ya Siasa Iliisha Sasa Tuko Ndani Ya Kazi” the Lang’ata Constituency member of parliament said which loosely translates to, we competed with him and he conceded, let others too accept that Politics is over and we are already at work.
Jalang’o shifted allegiance to President Wiliam Ruto and the government early this year after a meeting that was held at the State House, he shifted allegiance alongside other Luo Nyanza members of parliament elected on the Orange Democratic Movement party.
They include Kisumu county Senator Professor Tom Ojienda, Bondo member of parliament Gideon Ochanda, Gem Member of parliament Elisha Odhiambo, Nyatike member of parliament Mark Nyamita, and Suba South member of Parliament Caroli.
They have always maintained that they are working with government for the sake of development and not politics. ODM has however maintained that they went to the Government side to push for their own interests.
