The Jacaranda community came together over the weekend to celebrate expectant mothers in a special event held at the local center. The event was organized by the Jacaranda Women’s Empowerment Group to honor pregnant women and share information about staying healthy during pregnancy.
Activities included talks about good nutrition, prenatal care, and mental health. Local doctors also gave free health checkups and advice to the mothers. The day was filled with joy as people sang, danced, and planted trees to symbolize new life and growth.Photo Courtesy: Eric Mboya Facebook Page.
“This event has made me feel so loved,” said Mary Wanjiku, one of the expectant mothers. “It reminds me that pregnancy is a journey we share as a community.”
The event showed how important it is for communities to support pregnant women. By learning and helping each other, they can reduce the health risks mothers often face, especially in rural areas.
Organizers encouraged other communities to hold similar events, saying they strengthen family bonds and promote safe pregnancies.
The celebration brought hope and happiness to Jacaranda, showing the power of coming together to support mothers and their babies.
