Kenyan socialite and reality TV star Diana Marua has spoken openly about her relationship with Yvette Obura, the mother of Bahati’s daughter, Mueni.

Speaking on Thursday, September 25, 2025, Diana described their bond as one built on respect, forgiveness, and clear communication.

“The foundation of the good relationship between me and Mama Mueni is respect,” Diana said. “Mama Mueni respects me and my marriage, and I respect her in return. We have good communication, and everything is based on respect.”

Diana explained that whenever there is something important to discuss—especially regarding Mueni—Yvette chooses to go through her directly instead of involving Bahati unnecessarily.

She said this helps keep things smooth and respectful between all parties.

“If Mueni wants to come or discuss anything, she comes through me and not Bahati,” Diana shared. “If you see her reaching out to Bahati, it is because she has not contacted me, and at another time, I tell her to speak directly to him.”

She acknowledged that ending any relationship is never easy, but both she and Yvette made a conscious decision to forgive the past and focus on peace.

“Ending a relationship is never easy, but life happens, and we choose to forgive whatever has happened,” she said.

Diana emphasized that their shared focus is on raising the child well, making sure Mueni grows up in a healthy and loving environment.

She believes that co-parenting works best when both women remain respectful and intentional in how they interact.

“It is about respect, forgiveness, and focusing on raising the child well,” she said.

Diana also made it clear that there are no issues between her and Yvette today.

Their shared goal is to give Mueni the best upbringing possible, free from tension or negativity.

“Whoever we bring into this world, Mueni or anyone else, we must nurture the child so that they grow up well,” Diana said. “Having said that, there are no more complications.”
