Kapseret MP Hon. Oscar Sudi has left many Kenyans emotional after a heartfelt post on X platform where he appealed for information on Andrea Tendenei, a man who has been paralyzed and bedridden for 25 years following a stroke.
In an emotional message posted on Thursday, May 7, 2026, the outspoken MP revealed that Tendenei’s story has deeply broken his heart.
The ailing man lives in Kaptumo village, Kipsomba ward, and has been suffering in silence for over two decades.
“Andrea Tendenei’s story has broken my heart. He has suffered a stroke, leaving him paralyzed and bedridden for 25 years in Kaptumo village, Kipsomba ward. If you have any information about him, kindly volunteer it. I want to help,” Sudi posted, accompanied by touching photos of the man and his humble living conditions.
The photos show Tendenei seated with a warm but frail smile, wearing a white jacket over a green shirt, alongside images of his modest mud house with a thatched roof and a woman believed to be a family member.
Sudi’s post has sparked massive reactions online, with many Kenyans praising the MP for showing a compassionate side and committing to assist a vulnerable citizen. “This is the kind of leadership we need. God bless you Hon. Sudi,” one netizen commented.
Others have offered to volunteer information and support, while some have called on well-wishers and the county government to step in and provide medical care, food and better shelter for Tendenei and his family.
The appeal comes at a time when stories of neglected citizens continue to tug at the hearts of Kenyans.
As calls for help continue to pour in, many are now waiting to see how the MP will follow up on this emotional appeal.
Tendenei’s long struggle highlights the challenges faced by many stroke survivors in rural Kenya who lack access to proper rehabilitation and support.
Kenyans have been urged to share any relevant information that can help Sudi reach out and change the life of this forgotten man.
