Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is seemingly in control when it comes to the shelter department as much as he is powerful in the political arena.
Several years prior, the former prime minister’s private residence made public fodder after reports emerged that the alleged Ksh1 billion he used to construct the behemoth was not entirely legally obtained.

Construction of the house which locals refer to as a ‘state house’ began in 2010 and was completed in 2015. The house has 74 rooms.
The residence has close to 10 bedrooms- including Raila’s master bedroom all upstairs. It has four expansive state-of-the-art kitchens, two main conference rooms, two small conference rooms, and many offices.
It is also reported to have jacuzzis, and a huge helipad.
