The late Raila Amolo Odinga established a business and real estate heritage throughout his many years in public service. His property portfolio spans, across Kenya consisting of luxury homes well as family land.

In Nairobi, Odinga owned a luxurious mansion in Karen, reportedly valued at around KSh 300 million, and a modern, private retreat in the leafy Runda neighborhood.

On the Kenyan coast, he maintained a striking white-and-blue mansion in Nyali, Mombasa, which served as a family getaway.

In Kisumu, his Riat Hills estate stood out for its scale and design — it reportedly includes over ten bedrooms, conference rooms, a swimming pool, jacuzzis, and even a helipad.

Beyond that, he owned Opoda Farm in Bondo, Siaya County — a symbolic ancestral property where his family roots run deep.

He also held title to the Ofafa Memorial Hall near Kisumu’s CBD, a space closely tied to the Luo community and the Luo Council of Elders.

Raila’s business portfolio reinforced his wealth. His family controlled East Africa Spectre Ltd, which manufactures LPG cylinders, and Be Energy Ltd, active in the fuel sector.

He also had investment companies like Lennox Development Ltd and Duma Investments Ltd, which span real estate, agriculture, and finance.

One of his most ambitious projects was LV Marina, a mixed-use development near Kisumu that could become a major landmark.

While Raila reportedly once declared his personal net worth as about KSh 2 billion, his broader business interests suggest his real estate and industrial holdings were very substantial.
