Ohangla musician Odongo Swagg has given fans a glimpse of his newly built rural home in Siaya County, celebrating the milestone with a colourful housewarming party attended by politicians, fellow artistes, clergy and friends from across East Africa.
The celebrated Luo singer welcomed guests to his modern bungalow, which stands in a scenic location overlooking Lake Victoria. The beautiful surroundings and impressive design quickly attracted attention after footage of the property circulated online.
Drone footage shared on Monday, October 12, captured aerial views of the newly completed house, revealing its modern architectural design, spacious compound and attractive setting. The single-storey bungalow features light-coloured exterior walls and a dark grey tiled roof.
The property is enclosed by a concrete perimeter wall, giving the compound a neat and secure appearance. Its location offers sweeping views of Lake Victoria, creating a peaceful rural atmosphere that adds to the home’s overall appeal.
During the housewarming celebration, white peaked tents were erected within the compound to accommodate the large number of invited guests. Several vehicles, including cars and SUVs, were also seen parked along the access road as visitors arrived for the special occasion.
The event brought together people from different backgrounds, highlighting the musician’s connections within the entertainment industry and political circles. Fellow performers, politicians and religious leaders joined him in celebrating the achievement, turning the occasion into a memorable gathering.
Odongo Swagg expressed deep gratitude to everyone who attended, describing the celebration as one of the most meaningful moments of his life. In his message, he reflected on the importance of friendship, unity and the people who support someone throughout their journey.
“Moments in life are too beautiful for words, and the housewarming was one of them,” the musician wrote, explaining that the occasion represented more than simply celebrating a newly completed property.
He added that the gathering reminded him of the value of people coming together to celebrate another person’s progress. His message emphasised love, friendship and gratitude, sentiments that defined the celebration beyond the impressive house itself.
The singer also recognised the chief guests, including politicians, clergy and fellow artistes, who made time to attend the event. He appreciated their presence and the support they demonstrated by sharing in his special moment.
According to Odongo Swagg, material possessions are not the only measure of success, as the people who stand beside someone throughout life’s journey are equally valuable. His remarks reflected the personal significance of the achievement and the relationships that have supported him.
The housewarming has since drawn attention to the musician’s new home, particularly its scenic location and modern appearance. The footage offered fans an opportunity to appreciate the property while celebrating an important milestone in the singer’s life.
