Whoever said ‘usieke siasa kwa roho’ was absolutely right because the outcome sometimes turn out controversial to expectations.
Apparently, this phrase is well understood by, Petra Njeri, an ANC MCA aspirant who emanates from Murang’a county.
Taking to her Facebook account recently, the politician has cited a foul play after losing her seat despite the huge expectations she had.
She revealed that on Agust 9th she decided to surprise voters in her polling station by showering them with a number of goodies with hopes that they would reciprocate positively.
However, to her disappointment, only one person voted for her out of a thousand voters who had braved the morning cold to vote on that nostalgic day.
“Mimi nikikumbuka kuna polling station nilipata kura moja after nilipeana blankets 50, 100kgs rice na 100kgs beans, inauma sana,” she said.
Heartbreaking still, the sassy woman further divulged that she also assisted some of her supporters to pay school fees but they failed to return the favour despite promising her that they would elect her as the first female MCA in Kariara ward.
“Hakuna mtu amepeana food kama mimi na kulipia watoto school fees. Watu walikuwa wananiambia ni mimi, raundi hii wachague mrembo, wapi. Mpaka kwa kanisa wanatudanganya. Niliwapea hata maharagwe ya kupanda,” she added
Revealing the fortune she utilized, Njeri made it known that she spent a total sum of 1.5 million Kenyan shillings, something that pains her alot since she was unable accomplish her motives.
Meanwhile, she has revealed that she has learnt a lesson this year and she won’t be using her money again in order to please people ahead 2027 general elections.
