Popular Kikuyu musician Ngaruiya Junior on Sunday held a thanksgiving ceremony at Ruiru Stadium that was attended by thousands of his fans including politicians.
Murang’a Woman Representative Betty Njeri Maina was among a group of Kenya Kwanza leaders who graced the occasion to support Ngaruiya who was at the heart of coalition’s campaign particularly in Mt Kenya.

While presenting a gift of Ksh20K that Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome sent to the artist, Betty disclosed she was single and was looking for a husband.
Speaking after a youthful Nyandarua MCA identified as Naomi who also revealed was single, the Murang’a county MP left the crowd in stiches when she asked if there was a man around who would like to take her as a wife.

“I would also like to inform you people of Ruiru that I am not married and I’m looking for a husband. Who would like to marry me? Others leaders who graced the occasion included Kiambu Senator Karungo Thang’wa, Women Representative Ann Muratha, Gilgil MP Martha Wangari, Kiambaa MP Njuguna Wanjiku and Mathira MP Eric Mwamgi Wa Mumbi.
