Kenyan comedian and self proclaimed president of comedy in Africa Eric Omondi has fumed with anger after a promoter allegedly coned a South African Woman and left her stranded in Kenya. In a video shared by the comedian on his social media platforms, the producer told the lady that she could be given a chance to perform in Kenya and get paid.
She fell for the trick and sent him money for her ticket and other bookings. However, after making the payment of about Ksh40,000 she never heard anything from him. She has been stranded in Nairobi for the past one month and has accumulated a lot of debt which she is unable to pay.
Eric Omondi has said that he knows who the promoter is and he now wants him to come out and help the woman go back to South Africa by paying her back. He went ahead to tell him that he has only six hours to contact the lady and plan for her travel back to South Africa and if not he will look for him personally and ensure he is arrested.
“The thief who brought this woman to Kenya and left her here for almost two months has six hours to call her, pay her expenses, pay her and get her an air ticket to South Africa,” Eric said.
