Celebrated Kenyan media personality Stella Katiwa alias Miss Katiwa has disclosed to her fans that she is currently jobless.
The renowned radio presenter further revealed that the reason for this is because she usually refuses to give in to demands of her bosses, of wanting to sleep with her in order for her to keep her job or get a new job.

Miss Katiwa shared this information in a latest post on her Instagram stories as she was reacting to the recent incident in Kericho County, where BBC had exposed how a man was taking advantage of job seekers who wanted to work at a tea plantation.
According to the exposé, the man who goes by the moniker of James always demanded for sex before deciding to employ the job seekers.
In reaction to this Miss Katiwa was was clearly disappointed, and this is because it is something that is also happening to her currently.
Without revealing names, she also said that it had also happened to her in her former jobs.
“Am sooo mad, I’m extremely frustrated that I can’t even sleep or get out of this house because of this story, this has awaken the so much pain that I had buried for the longest time.
It has added so much pain because it’s still happening to this moment as we speak, and am talking now, it’s happening to men too…” she wrote.
The renowned Reggae queen added:
“…Am currently not working because a big part of this is still happening to me wtf!!. Why do I have to open my legs to get a job? Where does it say in the Bible?
But I choose to suffer in silence and I choose my dignity over that. Being a woman in this country (world) is a marathon. Whyy though, why make me suffer or why do I have to beg for a job that I perfectly deserve”.
In another post on her Instagram account, Miss Katiwa who is a former NTV presenter wrote:
“…This is the story of my life, have lost alot of jobs, deals and endorsements because of sexual exploitation. This has really toughened me to the extent whereby my confidence has been seen as ‘disrespect’.
This is a big business for alot of people and the women are the most affected ones, women are left with no choice because of how desperate they are trying to feed their families”.

The disclosure therefore means that Miss Katiwa had secretly called it quits with Homeboyz Radio, where she was famous for co-hosting the reggae show dubbed ‘Mtaani HBR’ with DJ Demakufu. The show airs from Monday to Thursday, and this is from 10 PM to 12 AM.
Since she refused to give names in her rant online about sexual exploitation, her reason for leaving the station remains unclear.
Miss Katiwa also previously worked at NTV where she hosted the Reggae show dubbed ‘Jamdown’, before leaving in January 2022.
