Emotions ran high as Beatrice Wanyota, an anguished widow, delivered a shocking declaration. Fueled by grief and rage, Wanyota expressed her willingness to go to extreme lengths, even declaring her intent to ‘slaughter and eat’ the man accused of brutally murdering her daughter.
The accused, Mustafa Idd, stands accused of the heinous crime against Emma Wanyota, a student at Vera Beauty College. The tragic incident unfolded four years ago at Moi’s Bridge in Uasin Gishu County, leaving a trail of sorrow in its wake.
With tears streaming down her face, Beatrice Wanyota pleaded with the court to mete out the same brutal fate to Mustafa Idd. She painted a harrowing picture of the loss she had endured, emphasizing that her husband had passed away over 25 years ago, leaving her to face this unimaginable tragedy alone.
“If he is somehow released I will act bizarre,” Wanyota declared, expressing the depth of her despair and the lengths to which her anguish had driven her. She went on to vividly describe the heart-wrenching details of the night Mustafa invaded her home and ruthlessly took the life of her daughter.
The courtroom saga took a chilling turn as Wanyota conveyed her determination to carry out her own form of justice if the court failed to deliver what she deemed appropriate.
“I would do everything humanly possible to kill him and chew his remains like chewing gum,” she exclaimed, leaving those present in stunned silence.
Justice Reuben Nyakundi, presiding over the case, listened solemnly to Wanyota’s impassioned plea. The grieving mother’s emotional testimony unfolded as a prelude to the impending sentencing of Mustafa Idd, who was found guilty of Emma Wanyota’s murder last month.
As the court prepares to pass judgment on November 27, the tension in the room is palpable. Mustafa’s lawyer, Rioba Omboto, appealed for leniency, asserting that his client was remorseful for the heinous offense.
