Ida Odinga has today visited the Siaya Governor James Orengo in his offices to see the progress made by the governor. Ida has been visiting all governors in Nyanza region including Gladys Wanga and Anyang Nyong’o. It’s clear that her influence in the politics of Nyanza region is clearly visible from her visits.

Ida Odinga has largely kept her silence since the Azimio leader Raila Odinga lost in the August 9th polls despite the support of Uhuru Kenyatta. It’s clear that Ida Odinga efforts to unite Nyanza region and run the counties her way has remained her only agenda.
It’s not clear as to why Ida Odinga has focused more on supervising the work of Governors in Nyanza region. It’s however obvious that politics is all about interests and that’s what she is pursuing.
Ida Odinga has been on record after the August 9th polls saying that leaders who used to eat breakfast, lunch and supper at her home have abandoned Raila. She is also said to be very influential when it comes to giving ODM party certificates during nominations.
