Life is too short, and some burdens are too heavy, but at times, we don’t have a choice. Rachel Otuoma, the late wife to Ezekiel Otuoma, who was a former footballer, has opened up on her painful journey before his demise.
Otuoma, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, passed away in December last year. The couple had been together even before he aimed and Rachel took care of him till his death.
She stated that the burden was too heavy for her since he had been given a timeliness of one year to live, but despite the pain, Rachel kept it all to herself and didn’t disclose the matter to Otuoma or the family.
It was heartbreaking, and many times, she cried watching him and knowing that the clock was ticking. However, she tried her best to give him a good life since her love for him hadn’t changed at all.
Eventually, he passed away though the one year had exceeded. Now she is left with only memories to hold onto. She stated that her name, Rachel Otuoma, will never change and her wedding ring will live in her finger.
Additionally,Rachel says that she will never marry but would rather date since her commitments to Otuoma will forever remain unbroken. May his soul continue resting in peace.
